Returning home.

This week I have returned home to Melbourne for a short period of time (visa issues, what else?). But in secret, its been nice to rendezvous with family and friends. In fact, I return just in time for my Dad's milestone birthday which makes me incredibly happy.

Leaving behind LA's beautiful sunshine and warmth, Melbourne has welcomed me with fog fuelled mornings, rainy days and early nights. A complete contrast needless to say to my life in LA. But sometimes, such a change is welcoming. I have returned with a million-and-one things to do, clients to visit, interior stores to discover and new places to eat. Oh... and who can forget the endless supply of supreme coffee experiences awaiting me.

Apologies for the delay in receiving a post from me this week. Life has been a little busy since we stepped off the plane. There is nothing comforting in the feeling of being home though, where everything is safe, comfortable and (in a good way) routine! Here's a few things I'll be enjoying this week back at home.

1 / Exploring new interior stores that have popped up while I have been away. A new addition near my home, Crate Expectations, has opened up their second store in Hampton. Lots of colour inspiration, energy and warmth for our homes during the Winter season.

2 / Indulging in home cooked meals with family and friends. Spending time around the kitchen table, chatting, laughing and sharing stories.

3. Hanging out in many of Melbourne's exceptional boutique coffee shops, including one of my favourites, St Ali in South Melbourne.

Hope you're all having a great week.
