Chic Equestrian Living.

Over this long weekend, I allowed myself to indulge and read front-to-back, Belle Magazine's June/July issue.  I fell in love with the article spread on "spirited interiors" (p.107) showcasing equestrian motifs, plaids and stripes in warm wintery tones. The image of the white horse in the field, surrounded by the soft sunlight is divine.

Although I have never ridden a horse or had any real connection with this beautiful animal, I am deeply fond of them. As a child, I loved to read the tales of Black Beauty and The Brumby and unexpectedly developed a fictional relationship with them.

I am captivated by the idea of 'equestrian living'. An interior influenced by aged timbers but refined elegance, equestrian motifs, brass finishes and a masculine edge. I am inspired by the gracefulness & tranquility that embodies these beautiful creatures and their historical connection with the Australian outback and countryside.
