SPOTTED: Like Butter.

Plywood is having its moment and company LIKE BUTTER are creating some exciting new pieces with this material.

Here in Melbourne, industrial designer Jem Selig Freeman and sculptor Laura Woodward are designing and building their own furniture and lighting pieces using plywood as its feature material.  Reasonably priced and individual designs, these pieces will look great in your home if you are looking for something light, simple and functional.

The classic and the original ply milk crates come in two square sizes: small 272mm and large 372mm and now a new size: small stretched 272 x 544mm.  You can purchase these items here.  The square boxes are so versatile.

In one client's home, we have mounted them on the wall beside the bed to act as floating bedside tables. This is a great idea where floor space is limited.

In another client's home we have installed the boxes (in varying sizes) above the study desk for additional shelving.

We are also loving the Stalker Stands.   Originally designed for a fashion event, these stands are lightweight and come flat packed for your convenience. Custom designs are possible. Might be a cute way to display your new baby's clothing?  Or create some clothing storage in the spare bedroom?

You can purchase these items from LIKE BUTTER's website here.
