Christmas at home.

Ho! Ho! Ho! Welcome to our last post for the year! Before we sign off, we want to explore with you, the beauty and love of this festive season.

Christmas has a different meaning to everyone and is celebrated in so many ways. It brings together the wonderful opportunities for the once-a-year family gatherings, the excuse to catch up with old friends and to wind down and switch off.

So here at SbyD we think its important to keep Christmas at home - close and personal. Make it your own. Maybe it means returning to the classics of red, green and gold. Keeping in theme with the trends of this year, you can introduce potted plants and greenery with accents of brass in tableware and tree decorations.

Or for the non-traditionalist, create something yourself using your own personal colour theme and make your own tree, decorations and unique table settings.

For some of us, decorating the home is not as important as having the right space to host family and friends. So redirect your focus on creating a more welcoming space, where people can sit, chat and have a drink to celebrate.

For the last week leading up to Christmas, we will showcase a variety of ways you can create your own personal Christmas.  Follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for some inspiration this week before the big day. And don't forget our Pinterest account where we have set up a Christmas pinboard!

Thank you to our family, friends and our readers for your support and encouragement for the launch of Spaces by Diana and this blog.  We cannot wait to share with you our new projects and adventures planned for next year!

We hope you have an AMAZING (and restful) Christmas, ready to start off the New Year full of excitement and ambition!

Above all, enjoy and love whatever is on your Christmas agenda this year.  See you in the new year!
